What is NEOM?

NEOM will be the most modern place in the world. Saudi Arabia plans to move away from oil and create a sustainable environment for visitors and residents. It aims to become a global hub for various sectors including technology, energy, tourism and innovation.
Announced by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in 2017, Neom is envisioned as a massive $500 billion project covering an area of approximately 26,500 square kilometers (10,230 square miles). Strategically located on the Red Sea coast near the borders of Jordan and Egypt, it is intended to serve as a bridge between Asia, Europe, and Africa.
